Sammie Tall shared the inspiration behind the song, explaining that it emerged from a period of seeking God's guidance. He and his wife had found themselves in a challenging situation where their spiritual leader had misunderstood them, causing a conflict that hindered their fellowship and service in the church. Sammie realized that he couldn't confront his spiritual leader, as it would go against God's standards and approval.
In his quest for direction, he embarked on a three-day fast, fervently seeking God's guidance. One day, while at work and in an elevator awaiting a delivery, Sammie experienced a profound moment. In the confines of that elevator, he heard the song "Your Name" being sung loudly and clearly, as if by angels glorifying God's name. Sammie wasted no time and recorded the melody on his phone, thus giving birth to the song. He firmly believes that God deserves all the glory we can offer, and this song is a testament to that belief.
