Phil Joes - Arms Around The World

Phil Joel, a prominent figure in Christian music recognized for over two decades as a singer, songwriter, and author hailing from New Zealand, has unveiled his latest offering, "Arms Around The World."

This single marks the fourth installment in the array of fresh tracks emerging from the collaborative project titled A New Heaven And A New Earth, a multi-artist endeavor set to premiere in the winter of 2023/2024.

Penned by Joel and crafted under the guidance of producer Brent Milligan (known for his work with Michael W. Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman), "Arms Around The World" stands as a pop anthem designed to ignite fervor within individuals for the cause of environmental stewardship.

Joel remarks, "Our world is a gift from God, and it's our responsibility to care for it. Regrettably, our track record over the past five decades hasn't been stellar. Yet, in His grace, God provides paths for restoration, redemption, and renewal. Similar to how our lives possess regenerative qualities, the earth is brimming with mechanisms for rejuvenation... and that's incredibly exciting. This isn't about pessimism; it's about actively participating in the creation of a revitalized world."

Joined by his son Eden, contributing on both guitar and drums, as well as his daughter Phynley adding background vocals, Phil shares, "My son, aged 19, and my daughter, aged 22, want to witness people of faith championing the causes dear to them. This includes safeguarding our environment to ensure a future for themselves and generations beyond."

Outside of his musical endeavors, Phil and his wife Heather have recently inaugurated The Green Room in Franklin, TN—a store promoting eco-friendly, people-conscious goods and furnishings. This venture underscores their commitment to being part of the solution.

Joel's release follows in the footsteps of tracks from the A New Heaven And A New Earth project, such as "It's All Yours" by Jason Roy, lead vocalist of the GRAMMY-nominated and Dove Award-winning Building 429, "You Mean The World" by MŌRIAH, a recording artist, actress, and producer, and "Together" by Aaron Cole, a two-time Dove Award winner, three-time Billboard-chart topper, and Stellar Award nominee.

This project has also seen involvement from accomplished Christian artists across various genres, who felt compelled to contribute by addressing the theme of Creation care. These diverse tracks, spanning rock, pop, hip-hop, R&B, indie, and folk/Americana, will be released as monthly singles until November 17, 2023. A full A New Heaven and A New Earth album is scheduled for release this upcoming winter.
