Atonye Douglas shares his inspiration behind the song: "The concept for 'Scatter My Head' ignited spontaneously while practicing for a Nigerian event in 2017. The song was then ministered the following day at House on the Rock, PH. After that powerful ministration, my drummer, Priye Epele, humorously pointed out, 'Boss, the chorus is strong, but the verse needs fine-tuning.' Little did I know that this seed of creativity would lay dormant as I relocated to the UK that same year."
Years later, during a family dinner, Atonye shared the original version of the song with DBF. The collaboration between the two artists resulted in an inspiring musical revelation. "The spark of inspiration returned, and DBF sent me a musical gem that fueled my creative vibes. Thus, 'Scatter My Head' was born. This song carries a crystal-clear message that salvation is not earned, but rather a gift already granted through Christ's sacrifice on the cross," Atonye passionately explains.
