“Gbése” is a reflection of how far God has brought me. It starts with contemplation on contentment as I choose to focus on God’s favor and love over material wealth.
It’s a song about gratitude for all He has done: saving my soul, blessing the work of my hands, loving me with action, and not just words. It’s essentially a love song to Abba with dancing in my feet as “Gbése” in Yoruba literally means “Take your leg up”.
My prayer is that anyone who listens reflects on God’s goodness, remembers his blessings, and decides to praise Him for them all. “
