There are a lot of awards out there that are often disguised as professional bodies to obtain links, get the emails and phone numbers of people, build a social media presence, make money by extorting nominees and sponsors etc. Most of these professional bodies fizzled away within a year or two.
That said, there are still some awards that recognise the efforts of people who do the assignment that God has given to them. One of such is the CLIMA AFRICA Awards - the apex of the Gospel Awards in Africa.
Standing the test of time with top-notch nominations of 10 Honorary Awards and 23 nominations categories that cover a wider area of the gospel entertainment industry in Africa for the first time in her 5th edition, the CLIMA AFRICA Awards held at the Shehu Musa YarÁdua Centre, CBD, Abuja on Saturday 25th, September 2021 was a huge success.
Uwak Mike – CEO of CLIMA AFRICA Magazines and Awards and the official organizer of the event had promised that the 5th edition of this glitz and glam gathering of Christian leaders, positive impact makers, gospel music talents, actors, actresses and other professionals promises to be the best of all the anniversaries. It was indeed the best.
The 5th edition of CLIMA AFRICA Awards introduced new categories which recognize the works of Nigerian artiste, other artistes in other African countries and Nigerian artiste in the diaspora. The academy also gives the public opportunity to nominate those in the honorary categories before the final selection for the most suitable awardees is taken by the team.
