Christ Jesus died on the Cross to redeem mankind, to save us from our sins because of his love for us. As recorded in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the Holy Bible, Jesus Christ was mocked, scorned, and tortured in the praetorium. He carried his cross up the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem to Calvary, was nailed to the Cross, and hung between two common criminals. Out of the Seven words of Jesus Christ on the cross, the last three words "It Is Finished" is considered the most memorable.
Nigerian Gospel Musician, Preye Omayuku penned a 6mins letter to all the Christians around the world in her new song titled "It is Finished". The song which revolves around the last three words of Jesus Christ before his death reminds us all of the reason why Jesus died for us, and why we celebrate his death and resurrection.
The song "It is Finished" is a timely reminder that te death and resurrection of Jesus stands for something much more than everyday Martyrdom.
